October 16, 2021 ; Million Dollar Theater; 7:30PM
The double header kicks off with Tim Burton's all-time great weirdo classic Beetlejuice. When a newly deceased married couple discover their house is about to get taken over by yuppie weirdos, they enlist the forbidden help of Beetlejuice (the amazing Michael Keaton), a nefarious spirit, to scare the family away. But the plan backfires and soon Beetlejuice may end up doing real harm to all involved. . .unless the living AND dead band together to stop him.
We follow this up with John Carpenter's "it should have been a way more massive blockbuster hit" Big Trouble in Little China starring a never more charming and funny Kurt Russell as trucker Jack Burton who finds himself thrust into the unwanted role of hero when he has to join a band of Chinese fighters to prevent the rise of Lo-Pan, an evil Chinese spirit, from world domination by marrying two women in the world of the living.
